Troy University set to host guitar concert tomorrow

The faculty of Troy University’s John M. Long School of Music will perform a classical guitar chamber music recital on Wednesday, November 28th at 7 p.m. in the Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor.

This concert will feature guitar duos performed by seven members of the School of Music faculty.  The concert will include works by Joaquin Rodrigo, Leo Brouwer, Astor Piazzolla, Manuel de Falla, Robert Beaser, Egberto Gismonti and Heitor Villa-Lobos, according to Dr. Robert Gibson, a lecturer in guitar and music theory who has organized the concert.

Faculty members participating are: Timothy Philips, Christi Amonson, Carol Franks, Micheal Huff, Raymond Smith, Hui-Ting Yang and Dr. Richard Gibson.

The concert is free and open to the public.
