Troy PD asking for help with recent robbery case | Crime

Troy Police responded to a reported robbery at the 10,000 block of US Highway 231 South of Troy at approximately 1:30 pm Friday according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

 The incident occurred at the apartments formerly known as Bowden’s Motel.

The victim advised that four black males entered his residence and demanded money from him.  One of the suspects was armed with a firearm.  During the altercation the said one of the suspects struck him in the head with a wooden stick causing it to bleed. The victim was transported to Troy Medical Center’s Emergency Room for treatment by Care Ambulance Service.

A witness advised police the suspects were last seen leaving the apartments headed toward Poplar Hill Mobile Home Park also on US 231.

This case is still under investigation by the Troy Police Department.  Chief is asking anyone with information about this crime to contact the Troy Police Department at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.
