Troy police arrest two on drug related crimes

Troy Police arrested two people Friday, July 6th in connection with drug related crimes according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

Officers are also investigating the burglary of a storage building at a construction site on East Walnut Street and a criminal mischief at a church on South 3 Notch Street reported Monday July 9th. 

Victoria Paul, a 19-year-old black female, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at approximately 2:00 p.m. Friday July 6th on Aster Avenue for possession of marijuana 1st degree in connection with an incident that occurred on Thursday June 7th.

Troy Police also arrested Stephen Michael Rushing Friday July 6th approximately 7:00 pm. TPD Officers and members of the 12th Judicial District Drug Task Force executed a search warrant for drugs at a residence on the 700 block of Pike County Road 7721.  Officers seized a green plant material that field tested positive for positive for marijuana along with two glass pipes with residue on them.  Rushing has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana second degree.

A storage building at the construction site of the Troy Public Library was burglarized Thursday night according to a worker with the construction company.  Assorted tools were reported taken during the burglary.

In another incident an unknown person or persons kicked in the front door of the Beulah Primitive Baptist Church on the 500 block of South 3 Notch Street between 6:00 p.m. Sunday and 8:00 a.m. Monday

These cases remain under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
