Troy man charged with attempted murder and burglary | Crime
TROY, AL (WSFA) - The Troy Police Department is confirming the arrest of a man in connection with the December 11, 2012 attempted murder and burglary of an apartment in the 500 block of Gibbs Street.
Police Chief Jimmy Ennis says Myron Jermaine Flowers was taken into custody Monday. Flowers and another male allegedly broke into the apartment while the two victims were not at home.
The victims returned home to find two suspects dressed in black wearing ski masks. The suspects were reportedly armed with handguns.
One of the victims was shot one time in the jaw and one time in the hip area. He was airlifted from Troy Regional Medical Center to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.
Flowers was transferred to the Pike County Jail charged with attempted murder and burglary 1st degree. He's currently on probation/parole for a 2009 burglary 1st degree that also happened in Troy.
