Troy man arrested for posession after search warrant turns up cocaine

Troy Police executed a search warrant at approximately 9:00 a.m. Friday on the 100 block of  Segars Lane in connection with drug violations according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

The search was for a white Chevrolet Suburban at that residence and Lavoy Davis, a 33-year-old black male who resides at that residence on Segars Lane.

 Officers made contact with Davis as he went to the above mentioned vehicle.  Davis saw the officers and ran toward the house and fell on the ground.  He got up and ran into the house.  Where he fell, a small clear bag was found that contained a compressed material that field tested positive for cocaine.  Davis was told to come out of his house by police and he did.  Davis was placed under arrest.

A search was conducted of Davis and the Suburban.

Troy Police arrested 2 white males and 1 white female Thursday at approximately 1:45 p.m. for burglary according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

Property was taken from vehicles and machinery inside a locked fenced area at S&C Materials.

Pat Junior Dickey, 37- years-old and Justin Mehaffey, 19-years-old both from Troy and Joy Diana Fenn, 22- years-old from Slocomb have been charged in connection with two counts of burglary each that was reported to the Troy Police Department on Thursday, April 19th for the burglary of S&C Materials located on US 231 South of Troy. 

 TPD Detectives obtained arrest warrants Thursday for Dickey, Mehaffey and Fenn and were placed in the Troy City Jail.  They were later transferred to the Pike County Jail and their bonds were set at $2,500.00 in each count.

TPD recovered property Thursday stolen from S&C Material from metal buyer in Coffee County.

Police arrest one suspect, searching for others following home invasion

Troy Police detectives have taken into custody and charged a juvenile in connection with the recent robbery, burglary, and theft of a motor vehicle at  amobile home in Suntrace Mobile Home Park Wednesday night in Troy according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

Detectives are also following leads on other suspects involved in this incident.  

A 14 year old juvenile has been taken into custody and charged with three counts of robbery 1st degree, one count of burglary 1st degree and one count of theft first degree in connection with the Aprill 11th incident at Suntrace Mobile Home Park.  He has been placed in detention in connection with these charges.

Troy Police arrested Harold Lee Horton, 24 and Terrance Robert Chima Nwsou, 19 both from Troy for possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property Thursday, April 12th at approximately 1:00 pm at the 100 block of Gibbs Street. 

TPD received information Thursday that Horton was residing in Troy and had a felony warrant for his arrest in Georgia for possession of marijuana.  A subsequent investigation revealed Horton was living at the 100 block of Gibbs and was home when police went to his residence.  Horton answered the door and was identified as Harold Horton and was taken into custody.  Horton also had an outstanding felony warrant with the Pike County Sheriff’s Department.

While taking Horton into custody, police saw another subject in the residence who ran into a bedroom and shut the door.  For officer safety, officers attempted to make contact with subject in the bedroom.  Nwosu opened the door.  Officers smelled a strong o

TROY, AL (WSFA) - Troy police are asking for the public's help identifying suspects in a home invasion that happened Wednesday night.

Authorities say sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. several armed males broke into a home on US 231 at the Suntrace Mobile Home Park.

The suspects confronted the two people inside the home and demanded money and property. One of the residents was hurt during the course of the home invasion - they were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Suspects fled the scene in the victims' vehicle - a gray 2000 Chevrolet Impala with the word "Sagitario" inscribed on the window. The car was later recovered on U.S. 29 North just outside of Banks.

Arrest made in armed robbery on Troy campus

TROY – Troy University police have arrested a Troy man in connection with an April 1 armed robbery on the Troy Campus.

Quentin Jermal King, 22, of Troy, was arrested April 9 and is being held in the Pike County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

“We reviewed our evidence with the District Attorney’s office and they agreed the evidence justified a warrant being issued in the case,” said Chief John McCall.

McCall said King was taken into custody without incident. The case remains under investigation.

Sketch of rape suspect released

TROY, AL (WSFA) - Study the sketch closely - this is the person the Troy Police Department says raped two women on Monday, March 26 at the Hunters Mountain Mobile Home Park.

Police are asking anyone who lives in Hunters Mountain or was visiting around that time to contact them if they remember seeing this suspect. He is described as a 40 to 50-year-old black male, 6' to 6'1" in height, weighing approximately 250 pounds with a "low" haircut. He was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt and loose fitting black or blue jeans.
