Additional Information for Parade Participants

All float entries must be received by November 26, 2012 at 5:00 pm.  You should receive

your line-up number by November 29, 2012 at 5:00 pm, if you have not received your line-up number,  please call us at (334) 566-0177 or (334) 670-6058.

To come to line up, enter Elm Street from either George Wallace or Academy Street due to

Elm Street being "one-way" beginning at 5:00 p.m. NO through-traffic will be allowed,

please use Walnut Street / Library for necessary drop-offs.

We would like every entry in place by 5:30 pm; therefore, please come to line-up before that time.

No throwing candy.  This will be STRICTLY ENFORCED!!  

Please be careful.  All persons riding floats or moving vehicles must stay on the float or vehicle until the end of the parade where unloading is permitted (in front of the Pike County Courthouse).

We would like to discourage you having a Santa on your entry to keep confusion down for the kids.  There is a Santa at the end of the parade for the children.

The route will start on Elm Street and follow Elm Street to the square.  The parade will turn in front of Oliver's and enter the square backwards. We will turn left beside SheBang & Landmark and end at the Courthouse parking lot.

Immediately following the parade, we will have the Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Square.
