PIKE CO., AL (WSFA)- The reward for information that could lead to an arrest and conviction of the suspect/s who killed a gas station clerk in Pike County over the weekend is climbing.
Authorities are now offering $10,000 in reward money in connection to the case.
The money is coming from three places: The Pike County Sheriff's office ($2,500); the City of Troy ($2,500) and Governor Bentley's office ($5,000).
The Pike County Sheriff's Department is investigating the robbery and homicide at the Hill Mart in Springhill on Highway 167. Authorities have identified the victim as 51-year-old Mike Mills of Troy.
Pike Co. Sheriff Russell Thomas is pleading with the community to state engaged and informed and to pass along any information they have regardless of how little they believe it may be. He says the department is continuing to follow tips that come in.
