Drowning victim's body found in Troy pond | News

TROY, AL (WSFA)- The body of the missing man Troy Police and other rescuers have been searching for since approximately 7:30 pm Saturday was found in a pond off Swindall Road around 3:30 am Monday.
Police say the man was the victim of an apparent drowning.
The man is identified as David Junior Williams, a 56-year-old from Pike County.
Members of the Wewahitchka Search & Rescue found Williams' body in the pond.
"I would like to thank all the agencies and their representatives that assisted in the search for Mr. Williams over the last two days," Troy Police Chief Ennis said. "I would also like to express to the Williams family that our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time."
