Two ejected in Troy pickup truck crash

TROY, AL (WSFA) - Troy authorities are investigating a serious crash that involved two people being ejected from a pickup truck Monday evening.

The crash happened around 8:30pm when the vehicle, traveling down Falcon Drive, struck a light pole. 

Four people were in the vehicle, including one who was riding in the bed of the truck. That person was thrown from the vehicle and through the wall of a nearby mobile home, according to Police Chief Benny Scarbrough. The driver of the truck was also ejected.

Both victims were taken to Troy Regional Medical Center.

The passenger who was in the bed of the pickup is believed to have serious injuries, but no additional information is available.

Falcon Drive is a street that runs through Forrest Acres Mobile Home Park in Troy off of Highway 87.
