Also if they were getting so much money why would he sell his SEC championship watch right after the celebration. Sooo many holes in this story-

AUBURN, Ala. – On a chilly night when runs and hits were at a premium, homestanding Auburn Tigers took advantage of scoring opportunities to take a 6-1 victory over No. 21 Troy on Tuesday night.

The Trojans (19-5) remained winless in three road contests on the year while Auburn improved to 15-10 on the season.

MONTGOMERY -- Sixty outstanding junior basketball players from across the state have been named to the North-South squads for the 15th annual Alabama All-Star Sports Week competition that returns to Montgomery July 11-15, according to a Friday announcement by Steve Bailey, director of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association (AHSADCA).

The girls and boys all-star teams will square off in a Wednesday all-star game (July 13) at Alabama State University’s Acadome beginning at 6 p.m.

Troy University to hold appreciation roast for Coach Larry Blakeney

TROY—The Troy University Board of Trustees will celebrate the legacy of longtime Trojans Football Coach Larry Blakeney with an appreciation roast on Saturday, April 16, at the Renaissance Hotel in Montgomery.

A reception will start at 5:30 p.m. followed by the dinner and roast at 6:30 p.m. Single tickets for the roast are $50 and are on sale now. AU hires former Troy coach Mike Pelton as DL coach

AUBURN—Mike Pelton, a former All-SEC standout at Auburn who coached a while at Troy University, has been named defensive line coach at his alma mater, head coach Gene Chizik announced Wednesday. Pelton worked under Chizik as the defensive line coach at Iowa State from 2007-08.

“I’m very excited and humbled to return to Auburn and be a part of what Coach Chizik and his staff have built during the last two years,” Pelton said. “I look forward to working with a young defensive line and getting them ready to compete next season. Auburn has always had a special place in my heart and it’s been my goal to coach at my alma mater. I can’t wait to return to the Plains and get started.”

As a player at Auburn, Pelton was a standout defensive tackle at Auburn, earning first team All-SEC recognition in 1994.
