Photo Gallery | Four arrested after 'shot house' found

TROY, AL (WSFA) - Four people are in custody after Troy police and Alabama Alcholic Beverage Control Board agents searched a home in the 200 block of Oakland Heights Drive. Chief Jimmy Ennis says the four suspects are identified as Jimmie Lee Smith, 70; James Anthony Rouse, 31; Daniel Laquez Canty, 27 and Willie Lewis McClain, 24.

Authorities, using a search warrant, entered a storage building on the property they say was being used as a “shot house” for the illegal sell of alcoholic beverages. Also seized during the search were several containers containing a green plant material that field tested positive for marijuana and a large amount of alcohol.

Smith was arrested for possession of marijuana 2nd degree, possession of a still or illegally manufacturing alcohol and unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages. 

Rouse was arrested for possession marijuana 2nd degree.  

McClain was arrested for possession of marijuana 2nd degree and promoting prison contraband. 

Canty was arrested for possession marijuana 2nd degree.  

Each man's bond was set at $500. A hold was placed on McClain for Alabama Probation and Parole in Pike County and he was transferred to the Pike County Jail.
