Troy Police executed a search warrant at approximately 9:00 a.m. Monday at an apartment on the 100 block of Park Street in connection with drug related incidents according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.
During the search, officers made contact with 1 male at that location. Police found a compressed material in the residence that field tested positive for a controlled substance.
Emmanuel James Dubose, a 22-year-old male has been arrested for possession of a controlled substance in connection with the search warrant. Dubose was transported to the Troy Police Department for further investigation and was later transferred to the Pike County Jail. His bond has been set at $7,500.00.

In an unrelated incident, TPD was following up an investigation of drug activity Monday at an apartment complex on the 400 block N. Knox Street at approximately 1:15 p.m. when they arrested an 18-year-old male for receiving stolen property third degree. The property was described as a 22 caliber rifle that had been reported stolen in a burglary reported Saturday on the 800 block of Park Street in Troy. The suspect was placed in the Troy City Jail and his bond was set at $500.00.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. Monday, Troy Police arrested John Wayne Sutton, a 38-year-old male from Brundidge for theft of property 3rd degree in connection with a theft of property at Wal-Mart on US 231 South. Sutton was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation from Covington County. Also arrested with Sutton was Rebecca Allen, a 53-year-old female from Brundidge for theft of property 3rd degree and unlawful possession of marijuana 1st degree. Sutton’s bond is $500.00 for the theft of property.
Allen’s bond is $500.00 on the theft charge at Wal-Mart and $7,500.00 for the possession of marijuana 1st degree. Allen was transferred to the Pike County Jail and Covington County S.O. will pickup Sutton and take him back to Covington County.

Troy Police responded to a call on the 800 Block of US 231 Highway in connection with a domestic violence incident at 7:15 p.m. Monday.
Floyd Turner, a 27-year-old male from Dothan was arrested for domestic violence 2nd degree. Turner and his 24-year-old sister got into a verbal altercation over money Monday night in Troy. Floyd Turner struck the victim in the face with his fist and then cut her on the forehead with a box cutter.
Turner fled the scene on foot into a wooded area in the vicinity of Anna Street. Turner later came out of the wooded area and TPD officers took him into custody and transported him to the Troy Police Department. A warrant was obtained for Turner’s arrest for domestic violence 2nd degree and his bond was set at $10,000.00. He was transferred to the Pike County Jail.
These cases remain under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
