TROY, AL (WSFA) - The cause of an accident on University Avenue in Troy is under investigation after a truck struck a power pole.

Authorities say right now the crash is under investigation - power crews are working to repair the downed line that snapped when it was hit by the truck.

The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital by someone on the scene at the time of the accident - the driver's injuries are not believed to be serious.

University Avenue was closed following the accident until the time the downed line can be repaired.
